Only being able to see the tops of the pine trees from the train windows is how this vibrant community received its name. Founded in 1901 and incorporated in 1903 as a rail station, Pinetops became the intersection of commerce as businesses would use the rail system to transfer goods. Surrounded by and in close proximity to Greenville, Wilson, and Rocky Mount, Pinetops offers a quick commute to metropolitan places offering vibrant business sectors, renowned medical facilities, plenty of entertainment and things to do.
