Welcome to Town of Pinetops The Town of Pinetops....A Great Place to Live!
Only being able to see the tops of the pine trees from the train windows is how this vibrant community received its name. Founded in 1901 and incorporated in 1903 as a rail station, Pinetops became the intersection of commerce as businesses would use the rail system to transfer goods. Centrally located between Greenville, Wilson, and Rocky Mount, Pinetops offers a quick commute to metropolitan cities, lively businesses, heart-warming churches, and friendly people. Be sure to drop in the Centennial House, a museum displaying historical information, relics and photographs of the first 100 years of Pinetops.
